About The Arena The Big Sandy Superstore Arena sits on a five-acre tract overlooking the Ohio River in downtown Huntington. Sheathed in warm gray rough textured concrete block in a deep terra-cotta color, the building features exposed aggregate red metal panel and bronzed glass. Creative landscaping and a modern art sculpture add a complimentary note to the exterior plaza and lawn area. Accessibility: The location between 7th Street and 8th Street is convenient to the bus system and adjacent to I-64 and U. S. Route 60. A ground level service entrance on 7th Street boasts an 18' by 20' freight entry for your convenience. Parking: Garage parking is conveniently located across from the Civic Arena. It will accommodate 750 automobiles. Also adjacent to the Big Sandy Superstore Arena are two parking garages at Pullman Square holding a total of 925 automobiles. Amenities located directly adjacent to the Arena include the Holiday Inn and several restaurants. Facilities: The Great Hall is a clear spanned space of 204' by
276'. It is supported by four concession stands, rest room facilities,
a large storage/stage area, vending/commissary rooms and mechanical
spaces. The space can be divided into two smaller halls. The Exhibit
Hall is 60,000 square feet of space, which can be expanded to 86,000
square feet by incorporating the lobby and concourse areas. Utilities
include 110/220 volts, water and phone. The Conference Center is
a 15,000 square foot facility. It houses a registration area, two
44 by 96 foot suites, six 32' by 44' meeting rooms, twelve 22'
by 28' meeting rooms and banquet facilities for up to 350 persons.
The center is served by its own entry lobby, lounge, restroom facilities
